Directors have more responsibility when it comes to filing statutory accounts for a Company.
The time limits are much stricter and the format the accounts must follow is more complex than that of a Sole Trader.
We can prepare the accounts for you ensuring they comply with the Companies Act and Accounting Standards. We will also prepare the Abbreviated Accounts which must be filed with Companies House within 9 months of the Company year end.
In addition to preparing the Company accounts we will also prepare and submit the Companies Corporation Tax Return, Tax Computations and calculate the Corporation Tax Liability for you.
We will discuss with you the performance of the Company and advise on any ways the company can improve.
We offer the same full service as for Sole Traders and will prepare and file the Partnership Tax Return and Self-Assessment returns for all Partners.

If you chose to register as a Sole Trader or Partnership we can help you get the business registered with HMRC by completing all the necessary forms and advise you on the best way to record your business Income and Expenditure.

- Register your chosen Company Name with Companies House
- Appoint the Company Directors
- Select a Registered Office
- Appoint the Shareholders
- Inform HMRC the Company will be starting to Trade

We can also if required register the Company for PAYE and VAT and file the Companies Annual Return.
We will keep a note of the Company Formation date and inform you when any deadlines are approaching.
By recording your income and expenditure monthly or quarterly you are able to keep a check on how your business is performing allowing you to budget for future tax liabilities
It can also help identify areas where the business may not be performing and enable you to make small changes as and when they are needed.
We offer a full bookkeeping service using either Microsoft Excel, Sage One or Quickbooks dependant on your business needs.
Businesses with a turnover of £85,000 or more are required to register for VAT.
Registering for VAT means you will need to submit quarterly returns online to HMRC within a certain time frame.
There are various VAT schemes you can register for. The main ones being the Standard Accounting method, the Cash Accounting method and the Flat Rate Scheme.
We will discuss with you which scheme is right for your business and prepare the returns for you from your records or give you help and advice to enable you to file your own.

Due to the new regulations requiring Employers to file RTI (Real Time Information) reports, anyone who pays an Employee must now have a registered Payroll scheme.
Failure to have a registered scheme or not file the RTI reports on time will result in penalties being imposed by HMRC.
